specimens collected in Korea

cousins and their families); our three- bedroom, one bath home was
very crowded!
1994
- finished PhD coursework began working on dissertation project
- November, began kitchen/dining room addition to our house
1995
- still working on PhD project, progress not good due to technical

- April, traveled to Washington DC to interview for job at
Smithsonian (did not take the job)
1996
- changed PhD project
- July, traveled to Toronto for SPNHC conference
- November, bought new house; began renovations
- December 6, hired as Collection Manager at the Natural Science
Research Laboratory, Museum of Texas Tech University
1997
- April, completed renovations on new house; moved
- May, received PhD in Biology from TTU (dissertation title:
"Automated Data Management in Systematics Collections")
- promoted to Assistant Curator
- attended FoxPro training course in Denver, ASM conference in
Stillwater Oklahoma, and SPNHC conference in Madision Wisconsin
- August, went to Utah for parents 50th anniversary
- promoted to Curator of Collections
1998
- began teaching Museum Data Management in Museum Science Program
at TTU
