William Monk was born in Hurstbourne Priors, Hampshire, England, about 1777. Sarah Ann Beare was born in Longparish, Hampshire, England, in about 1795.
They married on 25 January 1821 in Hurstbourne Priors, Hampshire, England, and
made their home in Longparish. William and Sarah had at least four
children: Charles (died young), Jane, Charles, and Elizabeth. Two other Monk children,
William and Walter, were buried in Longparish at this time, but it is unknown if
they were the children of William and Sarah.
