Johann Martin Heiner was born in Waldorf, Sax Meiningen, Thuringia, Germany
on 17 March, 1818. Adelgunda Dietzel was born in Wasungen, Sax Meiningen,
Thuringia, Germany on 11 June 1815. Martin met Adelgunda while he was
employed as a journeyman weaver by Adelgunda's father, Michael Dietzel.
Martin and Adelgunda married in Germany. Their first four children
were born there before the family immigrated to the United States in 1845.
They arrived in the US (Baltimore) on 24 June 1845. They eventually made
their way to Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, where they lived for several years
before moving to Utah. There, the family settled in Morgan, Morgan Co., Utah.
In addition to the four children born in Germany, Martin and Adelgunda had
seven children after arriving in America. They passed a great
heritage from their ancestors to their posterity.
